When we need an after-supper snack, a congealed salad is perfect. It's sweet but not too filling. If you have lived in the South for any length of time, you have tried a congealed salad! You can even make this with other flavors of Jello. I hope you'll try it.
Be sure to use pineapple in syrup. I have found that pineapple in its own juice is difficult to congeal.
The Strawberry Pecan Congealed Salad looks yummy. My favorite is Cranberry Salad my mom use to make it; it's made with Raspberry Jell-O crushed Cranberry's Orange Rind Pecans I cant remember if there's anything else as Recipe is down stares. I'll look and let you
know. The other one I like is Lime Jell-O Cottage Cheese Pineapples and Pecans and 1 cup

Do you add the jello packet dry to the pineapple?
Dressing (with turkey gravy). Going out to get some cottage cheese so I can make this salad. Have made the pistachio one several times. Happy Thanksgiving MS 🙂
