So...... it's almost too moist with all that liquid. With the way they've cut down on how much cake mix is in a box, could I cut back on the water to 1/2 cup? Anybody tried that? Otherwise delicious.

I added a half box of vanilla instant pudding a touch of almond extract....and a half cup of sour cream..I used 3/4 C of water... it is the oven Ill let you know the outcome 💗

My mother-in-law discovered a recipe like this years ago, but it called for a yellow cake mix. I happened to see the butter pecan cake mix one day and decided to try it - definitely takes it up a notch! It is a wonderfully moist, flavorful cake. I usually like to dust the top with powdered sugar!
