This is my go-to cake to make when I don't have a lot of time to get a dish together. I try to always have the ingredients in my pantry. It's simple and is always a crowd pleaser. You can find the recipe in my Volume 2 cookbook.

So...... it's almost too moist with all that liquid. With the way they've cut down on how much cake mix is in a box, could I cut back on the water to 1/2 cup? Anybody tried that? Otherwise delicious.
My mother-in-law discovered a recipe like this years ago, but it called for a yellow cake mix. I happened to see the butter pecan cake mix one day and decided to try it - definitely takes it up a notch! It is a wonderfully moist, flavorful cake. I usually like to dust the top with powdered sugar!
