There is really nothing like my Mama's Fried Chicken. This recipe is pretty close to hers. I think the secret ingredient is the cast iron skillet. Chicken fries the best in one.

I love trying new recipes, especially from other cooking creators. I bought Mississippi Kween's new cookbook on Amazon and was reading through all of the recipes. Her chili recipe sounded delicious but it was very different from mine. I just had to try it. It was very good!
